Formal Education Program

Since its establishment, AUEED has served the education sector in Upper Egypt. AUEED currently owns and manages 35 schools, in Cairo, Menya, Assiut, Sohag, Qena, and Luxor; 4 of which also provide preparatory education. With over 50 million EGP annual total budget, 1000 teachers, administrators, and workers; the schools serve around 12500 students annually (44% girls). Around 65% of the students – more than 8000 students are supported financially through full or partial exemption, with 15 million EGP per Year. AUEED seeks to cover this cost from various grants and donations.

AUEED aims, through this program, to improve the lives of children in Upper Egypt through a sustainable, efficient, and innovative education system that encourages community participation. It aims to enhance knowledge, social and moral awareness and life skills of children. It upholds values and provides special attention to the most-needy groups, girls and those with learning difficulties.
